The launch of a new sports agency amid the pandemic

An up-and-coming minority-owned and fully funded sports agency aim to disrupt the NFL industry. In a sport where BIPOC people are usually the players, not the owners, business partners Henry Organ and Hector Rivas aim to change that standard. Helping their clients maximize their financial return on and off the field. This is done by negotiating large contracts, monetizing the athlete’s brand, and creating equity partnerships.

Henry and Hector founded Disruptive Sports during the pandemic in July 2020. They desired to start an agency that focused on helping minority athletes create generational wealth via business opportunities and smart money management. The founders believe in procuring equity deals for their players and cash compensation, which is different from the typical model used by many agencies today. In addition, they are helping their athletes network with professionals from different fortune 500 companies to expose them to business outside of football.

Disruptive Sports, co-founded by Henry Organ and Hector Rivas, is here to stamp on the industry. Organ a Black man and Rivas, who is of Guatemalan heritage, have come across a few challenges as people of color in the business. They have created Disruptive Sports to empower the athlete. Rolling out spoke with Organ and Rivas about some of their challenges, why they started the agency and how athletes have responded so far. www.rollingout.com
